One Book, One Community - A Very Hungry Caterpillar! PDF Print E-mail

caterpilarSeveral branches of the Monmouth County Library will hold special children's programs in November as part of this year's One Book, One Community.

One Book, One Community is meant to unite Monmouth County through community discussion, literacy, education, and local arts events all centered around one book. This year the stories of the beloved children's author Eric Carle will be featured, including A Very Hungry Caterpillar.

This annual program has been led each year by the Two River Theatre, which features a play based on the One Community book. This year, three Eric Carle stories --The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Mixed Up Chameleon and Little Cloud will be performed at the Theater  in Red Bank on December 19 through 22.

The Monmouth County Library has been proud to participate in this event. This year, the following One Book, One Community children's programs will be held at Library branches in November:
