The Monmouth County Library is proud to once again be a part of the One Book, One Community Program. The book for 2012 is Kenneth Grahame's classic, The Wind in the Willows.
The One Book, One Community program is designed to unite the Monmouth County community through discussion, literacy, education, and local arts events all centered around one book. Nine Monmouth County Library branches will be holding children's story and craft programs centered on the book, beginning this November.
This year One Book, One Community programs will run through Dec. 30. The Two River Theater in Red Bank will host a kick-off for One Book, One Community on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.
As in the past, the Two River Theater will be hosting a performance based on the book chosen for the program. A family musical, A Wind in the Willows Christmas, will be performed at the theater from Dec. 8 through Dec. 30. Participants at Library-sponsored programs will be eligible to win tickets to the production of A Wind in the Willows Christmas.
