English conversation classes will continue in 2013 at three Monmouth County Library branches: Library Headquarters in Manalapan, the Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury, and the Ocean Township Library.

The classes are open to adults who are interested in learning to speak English and in practicing their English skills, regardless of their native language. The emphasis is on speaking conversationally, rather than on grammar and writing skills. All classes are free of charge.
English conversation classes have been offered by the Monmouth County Library since September 2008. Librarian Judith Wolt began the classes at Library Headquarters after she noted a need for English conversation classes in Monmouth County's diverse community.
English Conversation Class

The classes will run every Wednesday evening from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, until March 27. Please register in person on the evening of either Wednesday, January 9 or Wednesday, January 16. For more information, please call the library.
