Calling all kitty comedians and feline thespians! Enter the Monmouth County Library's cat internet video contest!

The Monmouth County Library is thrilled to present the internationally-renowned Walker Art Center Internet Cat Video Festival at Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan, on Saturday, Sept. 21. To add some Monmouth County cats to the screening, the Library will sponsor its own A*CAT*emy Internet Cat Video contest!

Some guidelines for entries:

  • All submissions must be publicly available on YouTube or Vimeo.
  • Please carefully copy the URL of your video on the entry form.
  • Videos should be no longer than 3 minutes.
  • You may enter more than one video, but you need to fill out an entry form for each video.
  • You must be a resident of Monmouth County. Monmouth County employees are not eligible for the contest.
  • Please nominate your video for a specific category.

The top Monmouth County cat videos will be shown on Saturday, Sept. 21 during the screenings of The Walker Art Center Internet Cat Video Festival. Screenings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Please pick up your free tickets for the screenings beginning August 10 at Library Headquarters for the Sept. 21 event.

Then join us at Library Headquarters on Sunday, Sept. 22, when the top three winners of cat video contest will be announced at the Pawsitively Animals Fair in an A*CAT*emy Awards ceremony! The animal fair will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
