Meet with other Anime/Manga enthusiasts - Japanese Anime art and culture discussed. Join us month to watch, discuss, and draw anime, and to generally just have a good time. Snacks served.
Saturday, Oct. 1 @ Headquarters, Manalapan - 1:00 - 2:30pm
Calling all Pokemon trainers! Come learn tricks and
strategies to help you catch 'em all! The more
Pokemon you catch, the more you can level up and earn experience points all of which can help you battle for gym domination. During this program you will learn about all
different aspects of the games such as how to evolve
Pokemon, how to make the most of your lucky egg, how to
train Pokemon in gyms and we will also do a special Pokemon
craft! Don't forget to bring your smart phone.
Woodworking for Teens
Woodworking is growing popular with people of all ages. Come and get introduced to the world of Woodworking. Learn some basic skills, work with tools and see if this craft could become your new found hobby!
All Programs are 6:30 - 8:00pm
Wednesday, Oct. 5 @ Headquarters, Manalapan - This
program will be a workshop on Woodburning (pyrography)
Teens will be creating a holiday ornament.
Thursday, Oct. 6 @ Marlboro Branch - This workshop will be
a class on beginning Woodworking. Students will each build
a toolbox using appropriate tools.
Thursday, Oct. 13 @ Wall Township Branch - In this session
Mr. Newton will present a class on parquetry (inlayed veneers)
Teens will construct a starburst.
Dr. Gameshow Live
Thursday, Oct. 20 @ Headquarters, Manalapan - 6:30-8:00pm
Do you enjoy improv comedy and playing witty games
that may or may not require any sort of strategy?
Then Dr. Gameshow is for you! Come join us for an
evening of interactive fun as the library hosts Dr. Gameshow
Live! Jo and Manolo will present games they have played
on their radio show in the past and audience participation
will be encouraged. Test your wits and have some laughs
at this fun-filled event for all ages.
Paper Circuits - Make Electrifying Art !
All Programs are 6:30 - 8:00pm
Paper circuits are a fun way to mix electronics/science with art.
In this program we will create a circuit animal, creature or flower
with LED light up eyes or center.

Escape Room Presented by Last Minute Escape
6:00 - 7:30pm Thursday, Oct. 27 @ Headquarters, Manalapan
Last Minute Escape is a unique, real-time
immersive experience unlike anything you've participated in.
Recommended for anyone who enjoys a challenge and can use
their observation skills and intellect. Last Minute Escape quickly
becomes the fastest hour you've ever had and the most enjoyable
test of wits you've ever faced. The task for each scenario is simple:
go in, do the job, find the key, and get out. Do you have what it takes
to get out in an hour?? Do you have your own Last Minute Escape??
You must arrive 15 minutes early to this program. Teens will be
organized in groups and will enter the Escape Room promptly at 6:00pm

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
The Monmouth County Library Teen Advisory Board meets monthly at Headquarters in Manalapan.
You can earn Community ServiceHours by joining this great group. Come out and meet new friends,
have a snack and share your ideas for teen programming,teen collections, and more.
This program is for teens ages 13 - 18 years old.. Please register thru out online calendar or by
calling the reference desk.

SAT Math: Tips + Tricks
If just thinking of the SAT Math test induces shivers and brings beads
of sweat to your brow...join us for a session on general techniques to
help prepare for the Math portion of the SAT Test. Bring some paper,
a pencil, an open mind and specific questions.
Presenter Michael Carlin is a Mathematics Professor who regularly
tutors students in preparation for the SAT Tests,
a key component in the college admissions process.
